The Gambling Commission in the UK decided to hold a questionnaire regarding gambling in the UK. According to the Commission’s Chairman, Peter Dean, these types of questionnaires are held as a form of monitoring the gambling industry in the public. These types of investigations are key components to knowing how the people are reacting to gambling and what types of new technologies are being preferred to gamble. The results of the questionnaire showed that around 8% of all adults in the UK had at some time and in some form taken part in gambling activities within the last month. The most popular form of gambling was shown to be the National Lottery, estimating about 5% of the people that responded to the questionnaire participating in this form of gambling.

There is a new law waiting to be signed by President Bush which was presented to Congress that is holding the $12 billion online gambling industry by a thread. It appears that Tennessee Senator Bill Frist, introduced the bill on Saturday by joining it to the Safe Port Act before Congress took its election recess in November.
The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act that is expected to be signed by President Bush, will practically finish off all online gambling sites by making it illegal for any bank, credit card company or online payment system to process any payments being made to online gambling companies.

Millionaire Damian Aspinall has decided to bring a little oomph to the city of Swansea with his plan to create a brand new land based casino entertainment center, promising up to 500 city jobs to Swansea residents.
Damian Aspinall, who runs his late father, John Aspinall’s, animal parks, as well as an online casino, has initiated the creation process of his dream by signing the rights to build the new $30m casino in Swansea.
